What is SPF?Updated 2 months ago
SPF, or Sun Protection Factor, indicates how much protection a sunscreen provides against UVB rays, which cause sunburn. For example, SPF 50 allows significantly more UV exposure before burning compared to lower SPF products like SPF 15, which offers much less protection. Sunscreens labelled broad spectrum also protect against UVA rays, which penetrate deeper into the skin and contribute to premature ageing and collagen damage. Consistent SPF use is essential for long term skin health, helping prevent sunburn, structural damage, and accelerated skin ageing.
